I dig myself out of the ground, I move my roots, I sow again, I keep growing and I don't lose my roots.
Just as plants need a connection with the root to sustain life, we as Latin Americans need to connect with our culture, language and life experiences intertwined with our origins. As a collective, this approach stimulates a sense of reflection on our origins and identity, often diluted or reinvented by temporary or permanent migration to the United States where most of us work, study or live.
Raíces is a collective exhibition where the jewelry artists that make up the Colectiva Tilde reflect on jewelry as a historical-cultural, identity and / or family value. Roots, honors the introspective symbiosis between the different cultures from where the artists originated until their reinvention in the migrant experience.

siembro de nuevo, sigo creciendo y las raíces no las pierdo.
Así como las plantas necesitan de la conexión con la raíz para sustentar la vida, nosotras como artistas latinoamericanas requerimos conectar con nuestra cultura, idioma y experiencias de vida entrelazadas con nuestros orígenes. Como colectivo, este acercamiento estimula un sentido de reflexión sobre nuestros orígenes e identidad, muchas veces diluida o reinventada por la migración temporal o permanente hacia los Estados Unidos donde la mayoría de nosotras trabajamos, estudiamos o vivimos.
Raíces es una muestra colectiva donde las artistas joyeras que forman Colectiva Tilde reflexionan acerca de la joyería como valor histórico-cultural, identitario y/o familiar. Raíces, honra la simbiosis introspectiva entre las distintas culturas desde donde se originan las artistas hasta su reinvención en la experiencia migrante.
